- Pricks and douche bags will not be tolerated.
- Maintain a good public image and represent Team Oregon, sponsors, and other stakeholders positively through good sportsmanship and public actions. This includes public interactions both online (blogs, social networking, email lists, etc) and offline (at races, events, etc).
- Avoid strong language in public while representing the team
- Adhere to the OBRA rules.
- Don't extend team discounts to friends. If they like our deals, tell 'em to join the team.
- Team-O members shall not maintain memberships on other bicycle racing teams, with one exception... collegiate teams.
- Guest riding on another team is permitted with Team-O leadership approval.
- Treat teammates, team leadership, OBRA officials, volunteers, race promoters and other riders with respect at all times
- Treat spectators and race fans with respect while promoting Team Oregon in a friendly and approachable manner
- Be honest
- Riders are responsible for knowing and abiding to the anti-doping rules and regulation, as stated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Refer to the WADA Website for a complete and current reference to these rules and regulations: http://www.wada-ama.org. Any rider testing positive or non-negative for any banned substance is be reviewed by management and subject to immediate dismissal from the team.
- Disputes or concerns between riders and/or team management are to be addressed immediately through team management to quickly resolve issues.
In addition to items listed above, Elite Team Members should also...
- Be on time for team meetings, events, and travel departure times
- In group traveling situations,
- Be efficient and prompt while taking care of personal business
- Keep lodging (hotel rooms, host housing, etc) and vehicles clean and organized
- Maintain personal belongings in an orderly manner
- Contribute to the team effort and objectives of each race – put team goals before individual goals.
Violations of this code of conduct are handled on a case by case basis, and can result in expulsion or suspension from the team.
